Bajaj unveils two Discover bikes

Bajaj Auto has unveiled two new motorcycles of the Discover brand — the Discover 110 and the Discover 125 — to significantly enhance its market share in the executive commuter segment, which accounts for 51% of all motorcycles sold in India, said a top company executive.

While the 110 motorcycle is priced at ₹50,496, the Discover 125 will be available at a price of ₹53,491 and ₹56,314 (ex-showroom Maharashtra).

The new Discover 110 and 125 bring first time ever features to customers in the 100-125 cc segment for a premium experience. The Discovers shall attract a whole new set of customers who desire the benefits of modern technology,” said Eric Vas, president (Motorcycles), Bajaj Auto Ltd.

Currently, we are selling 8,000 units of Discover a month and with the two new introductions, we are targeting a monthly sales of 70,000 units after one year,” Mr. Vas said.

“The old Discover will be discontinued and the new introductions will ‘completely revive the Discover brand which was not given due attention in the last two and half years,” Mr. Vas added.

Bajaj Auto also showcased the new 2018 version of its performance motorcycles. These include the Dominars, which will come in three new colours, the new Avenger Cruise 220 and Street 220, that will now come with a more contemporary look while retaining it definitive classical family silhouette. The company said, in 2018, it would have the Pulsar Black Pack edition in 150, 180 and 220 cc with an all black look and white alloys.
