The airline announced on Thursday that it is implementing new, hourly shuttle flights from New York City to Chicago every weekday starting on April 4. But as an added bonus, these flights also come with free beer and wine service, including in the main cabin.
Free meals with wine and beer are already offered on American’s international flights. Hard liquor is also free on flights to and from Japan, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Auckland, according to the airline’s website.
There will be 15 of these convenient flights per day on the half-hour, operating out of Chicago's O’Hare International Airport and New York’s LaGuardia Airport, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The service also includes dedicated gates and expedited check-in, if you don’t already feel like you’re getting special treatment.
Vasu Raja, American’s vice president of network and schedule planning, told the Chicago Tribune: “It is something that is really designed to go and cater to the last-minute business traveler and make it as easy as possible for that person.”
American also offers shuttle service connecting New York, Washington, D.C., and Boston. Currently, there is no information on how much ticket prices will be on the New York to Chicago flights.
